15 May Exploring Ramna Park, Dhaka: A Travel Photographer’s Journey in Bangladesh
As a travel photographer in Bangladesh, I’m always on the lookout for hidden gems that showcase the country’s beauty. Living in Sylhet, I’ve avoided Dhaka due to its reputation for pollution and chaos. But a recent trip to the capital changed my perspective when I discovered Ramna Park, Dhaka—a green oasis bursting with life. On AsadSnapper.com, I’m sharing my experience capturing the vibrant Boshonto season in this park with my Canon M50, proving Dhaka has surprises for every travel photographer in Bangladesh.
A Morning Walk in Ramna Park: Dhaka’s Hidden Gem
Traveling across Bangladesh for photography often brings me to Dhaka, despite my reluctance. One morning, I decided to explore Ramna Park during the Boshonto season (spring). I’m not a morning person, but the early start revealed a stunning scene—blooming flowers like marigolds and krishnachura in full glory, set against lush greenery. The park’s tranquility was a stark contrast to Dhaka’s hustle, and as a travel photographer in Bangladesh, I was amazed by its beauty.
Capturing Ramna Park with the Canon M50
Armed with my Canon M50, I got to work. I used the 15-45mm kit lens for wide shots of the park’s pathways and lake, and switched to a 50mm f/1.8 lens (via an EF-M to EF adapter) for close-ups of the vibrant flowers, creating dreamy bokeh. The M50’s compact size and fast autofocus were perfect for this spontaneous shoot, making it a go-to camera for any travel photographer in Bangladesh. The colors of Boshonto popped in every frame, turning Ramna Park into a photographer’s paradise.
Why Ramna Park is a Must for Travel Photographers
Ramna Park is a haven for travel photographers in Bangladesh. Its scenic lake, tree-lined paths, and seasonal blooms make it ideal for nature photography, portrait photography, and even travel vlogging. During Boshonto, the park transforms into a vibrant canvas, challenging Dhaka’s image as a polluted city. For photographers seeking unique locations, Ramna Park is a must-visit spot in the capital.
